Montessori phonics sorting mats and storage envelopes – SATPIN sequence

A beautifully handmade set of sewn fabric phonics sorting mats, designed to support early letter – sound recognition and vocabulary in a calm, hands on Montessori inspired way.

The mats provide children with a clear space to sort picture cards or small objects according to their initial sound.  Large lower case letters are positioned down the side of each mat, with individual sewn sections providing an organised space for sorting.

Each mat has its own coordinating fabric storage envelope, clearly labelled with the corresponding letter group.  The envelopes make it easy to keep each set of cards or objects organised when the activity is not in use.
